Hans Ella Daniel L. Amba 

Hans Ella Daniel L. Amba is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Music. He earned his Bachelor of Music major in Composition, cum laude, last June 2019. His longtime professor in composition is Josefino Chino Toledo, former chairperson of the Composition Department and music director of the University of the Philippines Symphony Orchestra. His study in UP allowed him to study different musical instruments and participate in different ensembles, including the voice (through voice minor and chorus classes), piano, koto, kulintang, and gamelan. He also attended various choral conducting workshops, including the 2022 Cultural Center of the Philippines Hands-On Choral Workshop which was directed by Mark Anthony Carpio, choirmaster of the Philippine Madrigal Singers. He recently completed Level I of the 24th Kodály Certificate Course, a certificate course for music educators.

As one of the choirmasters of the Catholic Renewal Choir, a church choir based on Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Bacoor, Cavite, he has led CRC to different music performances, festivals, and competitions since 2016.

He was a former Artistic and Program Assistant of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) from 2019 to 2023, which exposed him to the world of arts management, stage management, and production. He later taught at the International British Academy for the school year 2023-2024, which helped him gain teaching experience in a classroom setting.

He has done several compositions, arrangements, and orchestrations, including Sulong, Musiko!, the 2019 graduation song for the UP College of Music. Other works he has done are …Napupuno ang Langit at Lupa… for mixed choir and percussion (2024), Bahay Kubo arranged for mixed choir (2022), Mania for solo flute (2020), Hahanapin Din for mixed choir (2019), and Variables for wind quintet (2018).
